Additional Notes: Bearded Iris rhizomes are shipped in dormancy from summer to early spring. Dry roots and rhizomes are completely normal and should be expected. Healthy bulbs are slightly firm to firm to the touch and should not break. In mid to late spring bearded iris are usually shipped with trimmed foliage.
