This fertilizer improves stress tolerance and helps develop a deep, dense root system. It is great for growing acid-loving plants including dogwoods, evergreens, bougainvillea, and hibiscus. Apply Vigoro Plant Food to new or established plants. Use at planting when applying to new plants. Work evenly throughout the soil used to refill the planting hole. For established azaleas, rhododendron, and hibiscus, fertilize in the spring. Fertilize established camellias, andromeda, gardenias, dogwoods, and evergreens in the spring after growth begins and again in the fall after first frost. Blueberries need fertilized in late winter before flower buds open. All other established plants should be fertilized every 3 months during the growing season. Sprinkle evenly around each plant but within the spread of the branches. Do not pile fertilizer next to trunk or at the base of the plant. Water thoroughly after application.
